Remote System
Phoenix Navigator ran be installed on a computer besides the Phoenix Server itself. From your computer, you can remotely perform administrative functions.
How To Connect
From the Phoenix Navigator menubar select Options > Log on to a remote system. A small window will pop up.

Root Path
The network path to the Phoenix Server and database share should be entered here. This would look like: \\servername\voicesolutions. Servername would be the name of the Phoenix Server, whether it be a dedicated computer or a virtual system. A static IP address could also be used in place of the name. Typically voicesolutions will always be the name of the database root share. If the share is hidden you will need to enter voicesolutions$.
Test Connection
This will test the path you entered to see if it is valid.
Local Server
If you are actually using Navigator on the Phoenix Server, this will set the path to the local computer.
Update and Close
When you have entered your Root Path correctly, this will save your settings and connect to the remote Phoenix Server.
